Ester Alcohol
Ester alcohols are made through the reaction of carboxylic acids with alcohols under the influence of an acid catalyst. This process, known as esterification, results in the formation of esters, which exhibit properties placing them between ethers and alcohols in terms of polarity. Esters derived from carboxylic acids and alcohols. They are more polar than ethers but less polar than alcohols. Transesterification stands as a notable reaction wherein an existing ester undergoes transformation by interacting with another alcohol.
